The best part of my job was my clients.

Pros

I really liked working with my clients. I enjoyed the time I spent with them. That was the best part of my job. I was really excited when I started working there. I thought the communication with the manager and the girls in the office was pretty awesome but I was wrong.

Cons

Nothing but disappointment. I was expected to drive 148 miles round trip for 5 hours of work. The communication with the girls was ridiculous. I tried to explain how I felt regaurding a clients family member and how I knew I was going to go in there and have her be disrespectful towards me and I was basically told I had to deal with it. They don't listen to what you have to say its almost like it goes in one ear and out the other. They tell you when they hire you that they are here to support their caregivers 100% I didn't feel any support what so ever. Mileage reimbursement was a joke. If their going to make you drive that far they should pay out more than what they do. I think its more about the money than the safety of the clients.

Pros

Flexible Schedule; wonderful management; fair benefits. The people are usually great and you get a great feeling of satisfaction when you leave their home in better condition or knowing you helped them continue living in their home!

Cons

It can be very boring especially if your client doesn't want anything to do with you but you have a long shift there. I wish I could do more to help the client. I also wish there were more positions available such as STNA or CNA or even a an RN position.
