You will hopefully make some great friendships.

Cons

Blatant favoritism. Still the good ole boys network. Job description is much different than the actual job. There are quotas and scripts, if they try to act like that's not the case in the interview,don't believe them. I don't think the higher ups have a clue what it is like to be at the retail level of banking. Departments don't communicate well with each other and the technology and systems they want you to use to get your work done are archaic at best. Insurance is not great and little work/life balance.

I have worked for Commerce Trust Company a bit over two years. I appreciate the client-focused culture and work-life balance. The company does a lot to support the local community.

Cons

As you would expect in the industry, lots of bureaucracy and regulations. Technology is way behind. Tuition reimbursement is not competitive

Life long friendships. Good people.

Cons

Stuck in 1960s technology. Zero dollars invested in systems from this century. From an IT perspective, this will be the most frustrating job you'll ever have. Jump your career ahead and look elsewhere.
