Good place to work - most reviews I've read here are spot-on.
Pros
You can take the majority of Commerce reviews on this site to heart. Commerce really does have a terrific culture (if you exclude a lot of upper management and the corporate jargon you get everywhere in this industry). Your experience will vary greatly depending on what department you're working for. IT seems to be the most flexible. The company is very family focused and allotted time off is great with the addition of purchasing additional vacation time at the beginning of every year.
Cons
As many have stated here, Commerce is not extremely competitive with pay compared to other companies in the financial industry. Personally I pull in about $20k short of the median salary for my position. I'm even a little below the 25th percentile for my position. It's a sacrifice I've been willing to make to this point because of the relaxed work environment and amazing job security. Additionally from an IT perspective and echoed in other comments here, Commerce is extremely slow to adopt and implement new technology. That doesn't make them any different than other companies in the financial industry, in my opinion.
