Pros

The provider teams are excellent to work with and to get care from.

Cons

CHI management is absolutely overloaded with middle managers and VPs that drain resources, don’t bring money in and have no autonomy to make their own decisions….so why are the there? Communication from the top down is abysmal. ALL employees are treated like interchangeable cogs in a machine. Raises are purely based on time served with no recognition of merit. In spite of saying that they respect APPs, VMCHI’s actions show that they are really considered second class citizens to MDs.

Good way to get your foot in the door, but no-one stays and for good reasons.

Pros

Feeling like you have a positive impact on peoples' lives.

Cons

- Absent, hands-off management. Door is literally locked when you need them and they are usually unreachable. They'll also take time off at the last minute or same day, or even go out to lunch together and leave the clinic with no management without saying anything to anyone. - Too easy for one person to do the work of two or three people, and those two or three people to collectively do the work of one. - Low pay. Your pay in the long run is heavily determined by your initial pay. I make 35% less than some of my peers with the same job title and same tasks who have not been in healthcare for as long as I have. And I'm not the only one who is in that boat. They base it off of years of 'work experience' not experience in the field, skills, or your performance. Having 10 years in retail will get you better pay than 5 years in healthcare.

Pros

Location is central with easy access to major highways.

Cons

Understaffed and overworked. Recently leveled up to 6 patients per nurse. Management stated that we need to “figure out how to manage our patient load and still take our breaks.” Haha. Very unhappy employees as of the last 2 months.
