      Open door policy and Monthly staff meetings

      This company truly needs to reevaluate their management process. We constantly have new and changing management in the Patient Access (Registration) Dept and the current manager is making completely new changes that are not benefiting the company nor the employees or the patients for that matter and it is drastically decreasing morale in the dept. as well as forcing many employees to search for employment elsewhere. Including those that have been with the company for years. There have been at least 5-6 management/leadership changes just in the 5 years that I have been with the company.

      Pros

      Great people to work with. Positive outlook. I love going to work. Charge nurses are a great support to new RNs. An environment based on teamwork between all staff makes difficult tasks possible. There is always a resource to help an RN with a question or task.

      Cons

      You may have fewer opportunities to advance if you don't donate your time to commitees. Often short staffed. 5 or 6 to 1 nurse/patient ratio with high acuity while short staffed.
