Pros
Working here is a great option for both new nurses and experienced nurses. The pay scale at this hospital is very solid with limitless opportunities for bonus pay. The leadership I work under are professional and understanding. The hospital cares about its staff and their safety. Being a hospital that is roughly 118 inpatient beds it's not a sprawling and confusing campus compared to other hospitals. That also means that you see the same faces on a regular basis and can form some strong bonds with colleagues.
Cons
It is not a high level trauma center, so you won't normally be caring for crash, burn, GSW victims. If you are in the ED you will see some wild stuff, but generally high level trauma victims are transferred to Methodist. The former pro of seeing the same faces can also be a con because if drama starts it can spread pretty quickly considering everyone knows someone on every unit. It's not a huge con given that this is a frequent occurrence in workplaces in any industry, if you're not into gossip and drama then just detach from those conversations and you're pretty easily out of it.
