Pros
Good "starter hospital" if you are looking to gain experience to work elsewhere. Some employees are friendly although most are overall negative.
Cons
Pay is very low on both statewide and national scales, which may be the reason for negligent practice techniques and "old school" mentalities. There is a lot of bad practice taking place at Howard. Emphasis is placed on patient satisfaction with little emphasis placed on quality of care. Bad behavior is rewarded if you're in the clique. Human Resources is a joke and the HR employees are very rude. More irrelevant mandatory meetings and training than any employer I have ever worked for.
