CV Support - A toxic, devolving culture for a once great company

This company has built a very reputable program which provides their end users with a lot of capabilities to backup and protect their data. Truly at the pinnacle of backup solutions and has held that reputation for the better part of 10+ years in the industry Perks are also very good in the sense that you can work remotely (Even pre-COVID), PTO is adequate, benefits also well...... benefit people
Cons
All of my pro statements hold true for the most part, but it fails to describe the ever devolving toxic culture that Commvault has been, or is further becoming. Granted you see all of the success stories and fun pictures of people going to events and seminars...... but what you don't see is how some of these said individuals who attend them treat others within the company Commvault is notorious for not only hiring lackluster managers and supervisors, but that also further enables them to hire other equally incompetent people into a management role. Can't tell you how many individuals I have encountered here who ride on the coat tails of their "Best Buy" experience as a driving point for their success. I mean hey I've worked on desktops and HO/SO networks for the latter of 15-20 years, so with that logic I should be in the running for management too right? But that couldn't be further from the truth. Instead others who are much more qualified and adequate at their jobs, get badgered, bullied, or even exiled out of the department by said management, to the point where they are suffering from anxiety attacks, and sucking up all their available PTO just to survive their employment. Career growth is very few and far between, that is, unless you're "buddy buddy" with someone higher up than you. Raw talent threatens these kooks, which is most likely why more of the talented employees are held back and left in stagnant positions in the company Speaking of PTO - even though they claim that it is "unlimited" don't believe any bit of that. Managers/supervisors will micro manage those who work from home more than others (often for viable personal reasons such as bereavement, health issues, etc) and use that to leverage "disciplining" people who are trying to utilize it. But I guess you must sign your soul away when you promoted by the management team that has been put together at this company Then there are other departments..... such as licensing, or development. Somehow SLA timeframes do not jive with them, so you basically have no coordination with anyone there in the event of an emergency. Should you actually get someone on the phone, you're greeted with disdain and that winning Commvault negative attitude that builds onto the toxicity. So how do such esteemed individuals get promoted to management you say? Look no further than the toxicity that is senior management. The heads in charge who have successfully driven Commvault's internal reputation into the ground. Since the new CEO has arrived, he has done his best to cast away all of the tenured employees with some ridiculous excuses and severance pays (ya know - the people who made this place run like a fine oiled engine), push the majority of their jobs over to India, and gradually remove other resources and job opportunities for anyone who is ambitious enough to work (or stay) here With how the market is, and how other companies are offering job opportunities at much better rates than what Commvault has to offer, unless you're desperate look elsewhere for a support job
