Pros

1. Great product to work on 2. You also get exposure on different technologies 3. Work life balance is good.

Cons

1. Software development practices are poor 2. Management lacks exposure, most managers are promoted engineers 3. There is little of no future for skilled young talent here. 4. Pay is low and the HR/management doesn't bother to match the industry standard either.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. As always we encourage all employees to give feedback, through multiple channels whether it is our annual Vaulters voice or a one on one chat with their managers or even here on glassdoor. It’s great to hear that you are getting exposure and growth within your role, we are always striving to push to continue to evolve to stay leaders in the market. This is one of the reasons we believe that in Engineering all engineers should feel supported, stretched and comfortable enough to come up with new creative and innovative ideas. We have found our internal system to submit such ideas very effective in bringing ideas to life on a regular basis. Internal mobility and growth are very important to the team and we always encourage promoting from within and offer a Technical and a Management track. Whichever track a person chooses, we are here to offer options for additional training so you can leave your mark. If you would like to discuss any career opportunities in further details please feel free to reach out to your manager, HRBP or myself – Sanjay Kripalani - Head of Research and Development

Pros

Excellent technology, benefits and culture. Plenty of opportunity to be creative and trying new things.

Cons

Chasing too many hot trends too far away from core competency (data protection), sometimes inhibits progress in other areas.

Pros

Great people, positive work environment, ability to make a difference, empowerment, smart colleagues, Silicon Valley'ish high tech company ( without all the Silicon), based in East Coast which I love. Everything that was promised in the interview process has rang true in my first 6-9 months! Can't say enough about my decision to join and become a Vaulter

Cons

These are not really con's but things you should know - Commvault moves fast and starting out your head may spin. People seem genuinely open to new ideas so don't be afraid to jump right in. Wish 401K was better - it's not bad just not great
