Pros

Having worked at CommVault for over a year, I can share my experience with everyone and say that it is one of the better companies that I have worked for and will continue to work for - Training: I've had positive experiences with the training I have received and how it was implemented and presented to me. In fact, it's probably some of the better training that I have received when compared to other companies that I've worked for. - Management: I feel I can speak to my line manager anytime I need to and they always make time for any concerns or requirements I have. - Working Vibe: I get along with everyone in my team and we have regular drinks on Fridays and good friendly banter between cases! - Progression: Working hard pays off here, go in with the right attitude and get your head down and you WILL find that it makes a difference and progression will come. Coming into CommVault with the right attitude and mindset will get you far. Expecting things to fall into your lap without any hard work will not.

Cons

- Workload: On some days it can get a bit manic with multiple case handovers from other teams but you never feel left in the deep end to swim on your own. - Elliot Management bid has caused a bit of unrest but the strength of CommVaults product and power in the market should ensure a positive future.

Thanks so much for your detailed review and for being part our Customer Support team. The customer support teams are so critical to the impact we have on customers globally. I think you have hit the nail on the head saying don’t expect things to fall into your lap. We hire experts and with that, we have the expectation that they are people that can channel their freedom productively. The kind of people who see what matters gets on and just does it, has the influence to impact the team around them with passion and energy. I hear you regarding workload, we want to set our teams up for continued success and growth and as a management team it is always top of mind for us. Looking to strike the right balance when it comes to workload, so the focus is on ensuring that we continue to delight customers. – Simon Powell – EMEA Director Customer Support

Good for freshers. Repeated works. Not a good design

Pros

- You can get decent package as fresher. But you can't expect much hike. - Good environment. Flexible timing. Just finish your works within timeline. - Flat hierarchy.

Cons

- Bad design in core product. - Not a good management at higher level to increase revenue and productivity - Code quality is not good. - More than 70% of code work will be in C++ / C# and you will end up working only with these technologies and you will not get exposure to new frameworks.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I want to encourage you to talk to either your manager or HR about any specific concerns that you have so that we can assure that you are successful at Commvault. We really try to encourage all our employees especially when it comes to our development hubs, to have a sense of pride in our ability to execute complex projects. You are right that our core technology used to build Commvault products are on C++, C# along with Java and Python. I am happy to hear that you called out our flat hierarchy that has given every individual working in the development team an equal opportunity to learn and grow. We also hope you are taking advantage of the collaboration aspect and the ability to have all ideas heard that this style brings. It is our aim to always hire strong engineers who understand our designs and build a framework that is used within the projects. The development environment is extremely collaborative where employees have the Freedom to make an Impact. Together. Sometimes this means you need to be proactive and explore all that is available to you, for example, our share drives, libraries, and intranet. Again I really do encourage you to chat with your manager, myself or the HR team so that we can best support you with any specific needs. – Joe Sabu – Head of Research and Development India
