Pros

I am senior employee working from Bangalore to be frank i feel there is plenty of freedom, urge for growth, great appetite for embracing new technologies and keeping up with market demand. Recently there was a paradigm shift from upper management to convert only real customer needs into a product (which was commented negatively by another reviewer they perceive it that way might be because its their first job) to get more bang for the buck. people aligning the ideas with company growth and taking responsibility are quickly recognized using various incentive programs. Senior management takes extra care at find such contributors against all the standard corporate politics.

Cons

Freshers with curiosity and craze to learn gain all the necessary talent and grow quickly But unfortunately this looks skewed to slow learners. as all the corporate companies have local managers trust local known talent than trying to embrace every one. Enabling IDC to become contributor for the product is a work in progress with a definite deadline so a nice opportunity to become one of the pillars of success.

Pros

Leader in the Backup Industry ( Gartner). Software platform is good. Being positioned now as a Unified Data Platform.n

Cons

Be aware that subsidiaries abroad the USA may hire candidates as "contractors" without any kind of benefits. The subsidiary may also not have any legal representation locally. All sales are through VARs and distributors, reducing revenue to AM. Poor local management team in international locations with long-time "questionable" business practices and with employees (no respect for individuals, retalation). The marketing resources in some International markets are almost zero causing a very low awareness among customers specially in the enterprise market, this makes very long sales cycles specially when competing with other bigger competitors such as EMC, Veam, Veritas, HP or IBM. I advise to review sales plans with quota before signing since the quotas are highly unrealistic without consideration of local environment so don't expect to make much money out of commissions.

Pros

Great people and good pay

Cons

Marketing? What marketing? What do Commvault do? - Information Management and analytics and discovery and compliance and IT simplification and all round awesomeness. OK - give me an elevator pitch - I can't it takes too long - we need to have a meeting OK - How long's the meeting ? We need 20 minutes to tell you what we can do, and another 3 hours to explain how we can help. After that we'll ask you some questions and offer a paid for service to understand how much we can save you. Errrr - sounds awesome. What's the catch? No catch - we're awesome and will save you money. We promise.
