Pros

Lunch provided often. WFH on Fridays.

Cons

Wouldn’t usually leave a review here. However, in this case, I feel it’s important to warn future candidates about what they can expect. (Interesting how the last two five star reviews were left by current employees - one day apart) Favoritism: success here is heavily influenced by favoritism, which can make or break your chances, regardless of your performance or effort. Zero Training: Majority of this team’s sales staff have little to no experience in tech sales. There’s no structured training to help you get up to speed on a complicated product. Inconsistent Expectations: Change daily, and leadership rarely communicates with each other to ensure a unified message. Lack of support: Prepare to endure condescending and belittling remarks from the Director as he attempts to assert his importance. There is a feeling of eroding confidence from new hires who are already struggling to learn a complex product without any training or guidance.

Best place to start a career

Pros

SaaS Account Manager roles in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, are great for hard working young people who seek to progress or start their career in tech sales. Most companies force you to start as an SDR and wait until they feel like promoting you to AE. Many get stuck in SDR roles for years. Commvault's role, though named, Account Manager, is a hunting role where you manage a small book of business and focus most of your time on finding net new customers and you don't have to have SDR experience! Multiple high performing sales professionals on this team were hired straight out of college or from SDR roles. Once you have this experience on your resume you are officially an Account Executive and can get any other AE job out there. And thanks to the extensive experience of Justin, Stephanie and Elliot (all worked many years at well known companies like Dell) you will come away prepared to join any AE team and perform highly. Not to mention the fact that huge $$$ can be made in this role - 6 figures. You get out how much you put in! This team is the growth engine of Commvault. All of Commvault's stock movement (positive) over the last 12 months has been thanks to Commvault's rapid expansion into the cloud and Velocity.

Cons

The team lacks some support that other teams at Commvault get due to it being a "Velocity team" meaning smaller deal sizes that close quicker than market average in Commvault. But even with that the team finds ways to perform highly!
