Pros

It's a great time to be in tech. I'm not one to drink the kool-aid, but we really have an awesome product and are growing like crazy. It's a fun company. it's cheesy to say, but the culture is great. I can walk in any door with a question and the worst answer I'll get is "I'm not sure, try asking ____". Overall though, it's enjoyable being here and helping the company grow, as well as having my career grow along with it.

Cons

The biggest downside is that there is not always a well defined career path. So you may not know what the next step is going to be. In a fast growing company that's not entirely bad though, as new positions are created to fit the needs of the business, I'm in one now. But, I didn't know that it was an option until it was.

Pros

Great technology: stable and forward thinking approach to embracing the cloud. First and second line management are focused on empowering and cultivating the employee. Integrity is pushed into the culture from Bob Hammer down.

Cons

Slow to react to changing marketplace. Company is at a turning point: midsize company sometimes acting small when they larger and acting big when they smaller.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I agree that we as a company have a challenge in front of us, but I believe it's an exciting challenge. As we are currently in a growth mode, this means that there is a transition period where we need to focus on striking the right balance between acting small and acting big. We are definitely moving in the right direction and looking forward to what lays ahead. A key priority of ours is making sure that every experience at Commvault is a positive one by empowering our employees and igniting a strong culture. Please keep the feedback coming, as it help us to continue to improve every day. – Jesper Helt – CHRO

Good Place To Work

Pros

CommVault has matured into a stable company with a strong work/life balance. The technology platform is best in the industry, especially around enterprise backups. Benefits are respectable, and the corporate atmosphere in NJ is positive.

Cons

The company continuously struggles with how to evolve past being a backup play. They consistently create features for others markets but fall short either on the product or execution side of the equation.
