Pros

Great commision structure, I was raking in $1000 a week. Very friendly co-workers

Cons

Barely any discount for employees, other than once a month. Poor management control Too much merchandising focussed for sales staff No Training when I first started, I had to learn on the job by trial and error Health benefits only available after 6months and if you take any time off sick you are persecuted

Pros

Great co workers and management team. I loved the respect I got. Very organized company and actually care about it's employees.

Cons

More hands on training and computer training, more cross training. More sales training for the sales team, a less complicated computer system.

Pros

absolutely none. This place is a joke. they'll decrease your base salary to 18k/year after the training period or when you start making more than $1600 gross/month.

Cons

Everything. You dont make anything there, irregardless of what they lie to you with. They want you to make a minimum number of outbound calls each today to random people that have ordered from Tiger/Compusa in the past. Any decent or good leads they take from you can give to senior sales people. they'll raise your expected weekly sales every week based on prior week sales. within 6 months you're expected to be bringing in 50k-100k monthly and when you dont perform 3 weeks in a row, they fire you and lie to unemployement saying you quit to screw you out of your benefits. Make sure you fight it and request a hearing in person, they dont handle unemployement themselves, they outsource to a legal firm that doesnt show up.

Pros

Great entry level job, lots of training, great place to start your technical career, great product discounts. CompUSA has a training program that encourages teamwork I've never worked somewhere that employees from various departments work so well together.

Cons

Low hourly wage (that's to be expected for an entry level RETAIL job), the product discounts were so good somtimes I spent most of my paycheck in our store.

Pros

The training department was full of great trainers who truly liked being people learn. It was largely autonomous do it felt like a business within the retail store.

Cons

“Do better, sell more” was the company mantra.
