Pros

You can sign up to the venues which you want to work at and then it's up to you how much/little you work, perfect for a student who is wanting to earn money in the holidays. Good opportunity for progression, you can easily be promoted to a team leader position and they are keen to progress your career through compass to become manager etc if you work enough.

Cons

They make you fill in paperwork about health and safety etc before each shift which seems like a waste of time and resources. I wouldn't say that all manager have competent people management skills.

Pros

Different functions mean that it doesn't get boring, diverse range of jobs, work with different people almost every shift, sometimes catering at fun events such as music festivals!

Cons

Very much a hierarchy, worked 8 hours before without a break, treat employees poorly, managers don't do anything and never accept responsibility if something goes wrong
