      Strict corporate guidelines with a lot of "wiggle room" from location to location

      Pros

      - Structure mostly the same from one location to the other - Excellent on-the-job training and tools - Top-of-the-line equipment at most locations

      Cons

      - New training can take up an overwhelming amount of time in the first few months - It's up to your location to actually police the policies Compass sets; some locations seem to do this better than others

      No nights or weekend shifts, benefits, like health, insurance, 401(k), etc.

      Cons

      Very strict corporate institution that loses common sense. Head chef is definitely intimidated by competent and experienced cooks. Lies about protocols and doesn’t supply tools necessary to complete job. They are stuck in their ways of over 12yrs and afraid of change that could improve efficiency. I was scolded for organizing dry storage and the walk in fridge. Head chef overly flaunts her outdated knowledge with condescending remarks

      Pros

      The pay was fair. They try to incentivize employees the best that they can because they know the job itself is high-stress. Team members were kind and supportive.

      Cons

      Job is very high stress and lots of long hours. I worked with people who went salaried just so they could complete their workload without having to get overtime approved.
