Everything you'd expect working for a large corporation

Pros

Compass has a lot of positions all over the country so it's easy to transfer if you want to relocate. They usually offer a free meal during your shift if you're employed under one of their food service companies.

Cons

Working for a company as big as compass, as an hourly employee, definitely makes you feel somewhat irrelevant. I felt valued by my immediate supervisors and managers, but beyond that, I never felt important to anyone hire up then them.

Pros

Compass is a very stable business in terms of market share and revenue. Has a good reputation in the industry and offers associates a supportive and flexible work environment.

Cons

For those of us in venue support roles there appears to be an urgency to gain market share at the expense of taking measured, wise decisions. Emphasis seems to be on just closing the business and working through the functional details later.

Overall great benefits and a changing environment for the better. Also, its great that the corporate office is not located in the heart of Uptown, but close enough to everything.
