Compass leadership makes decisions based on select high-performing regions. This, in turn, makes newly established regions incredibly hard to fulfill clients' wishes. I have been at Compass for 3+ years now, and it has never gotten easier.
Incredibly long work hours and unfair pay. What you negotiate at the beginning is what you stay at. No room to negotiate raises or anything to that nature, you will be met with the "we have really good software that calculates your market value," and absolutely no consideration of how your role changes over the course of time.
Company "pillars" are used as excuses! Does an agent request a flight from New York to Hawaii that will arrive in 2 hours? "Be solutions-driven."
Taking a vacation is an act of congress and everyone feels guilty for it.
Leadership across many regions had clients who were up in arms that there was an international pandemic and made staff feel INCREDIBLY pressured to head into the office to essentially show face. Optics are a HUGE thing for Compass.
