Wouldn't recommend

Pros

- Lunch in the office - Competitive Salary

Cons

- New overly-aggressive management in engineering - Lots of double-talk - Lots of talk about quality, but nothing has been built in six months - Discriminatory/preferential hiring procedures - No culture of respect, there's an air of "everyone who worked here before me didn't know what they were doing" from new joiners - "Just get it done" mentality

Deeply Disappointed

Pros

Initially, everyone seemed very interested and invested in your success with the company. It was very exciting! They have classes often and the agents are genuinely nice.

Cons

The broker comes off as having great leadership/mentor qualities in the beginning, but take caution confronting/questioning him with any issues that interfere with his financial success (aka commission split) as you will be terminated from the brokerage in a rash manner. This will also entail terminating your license on the spot in addition to revoking your hard-earned leads that you paid for. Furthermore, the administrative department takes days to get back with you if you have any issues that fall under their responsibilities. On one occasion my listing "for sale" sign took over a week to be placed in the front yard of a new listing of mine despite the numerous e-mails I sent requesting the sign be placed asap. I even offered to come pick up the sign and place it myself, but that wasn't allowed. This sign service is designed to make the brokerage more money, is extremely inefficient, and just down-right unnecessary.

Ivory Tower Syndrome

Pros

Pre-covid, this was a really chill place to work for.

Cons

Depending on your team, you could either have a great experience or a poor one. This is extremely inconsistent, pointing towards a poor company culture Benefits were all cut because of COVID. Makes sense. However, with rebounding financials and a recovering economy, the focus was put on rapid hiring, rather than reinstating benefits (partly why I decided to join in the first place). This is no longer a competitive company in terms of compensation. Leaders are being brought in from the most corporate of places, and you can tell that they sit atop their ivory tower, trying to inspire, when they have zero idea what it's like at the bottom of the totem pole. People may be afraid to speak up about that due to job security (also threatened), but unless leadership decides to actually listen to their employees or provide a platform to do so, I'm not very optimistic about the future.
