amazing coworkers, work-life balance, ability to be creative, fun atmosphere to work

too much emotional management of clients vs project management and actual career growth, limited growth opportunities within department, company seemingly doesn't value employee retention as much as they used to

Pros

I was first drawn to Compass’ incredible tools, technology and ideas, and the innovative way they were changing the real estate industry. When I met Robert Reffkin I could tell right away he was an exceptional leader, and that working for him would make me a better real estate agent and professional. In our first meeting I wore black and white to model the Compass brand. I’ll never forget his comment, “Dressed on point!” And weeks later when I saw him again he remembered that outfit! After spending the majority of my career at Houlihan Lawrence where Diane Hackett and I had grown comfortable and felt a certain loyalty, we knew it was time to challenge ourselves and our team, and make a great change by joining this amazing company. We were not disappointed. In fact, since we've joined Compass, I’ve remained in awe of the incredible leadership and colleagues I’ve had the pleasure of working with and learning from. Robert and Ori, Rory, Neda, Ari, Jason…across departments and companywide they and the rest of the team have fostered a culture that is wonderfully inclusive, making employees feel welcome, safe and happy, and inspiring them to do the same for their clients. Even in this digital world and having created such a tech-focused company, they understood my need for more personal communication via phone and meetings - they have always made me feel comfortable and heard. Compass has a great way of nurturing each and every team member by providing the information, tools and support that is needed to foster their success. The creativity, innovation and professionalism that comes out of this organization is truly unparalleled. I look forward to many more years providing the best possible service and care for my clients under the Compass name.

Pros

Very flexible. The culture is great and I felt comfortable in my office right away. Everyone is so friendly and understanding.

Cons

Sometimes it can be stressful but only during busy times of the year like summer months.
