It was truly one of the most toxic environments I have ever worked in from leadership up. Which is tough to say as I was part of the middle management team. Lack of communication and empathy was appalling. The lack of talent/experience among senior leadership was even more disturbing. The pay is low, the standards are high and you spend more time playing politics than you do working. There were folks in positions that had absolutely zero experience in the real estate space nor the departments they were managing. Lower level employees are treated like numbers while they make 1/10 of what management does while doing 99% of the heavy lifting. I have luckily never been bullied in my career, but I soon found out at Compass what that was like. Department leaders from other regions were the only reason I held on.

High fees. Lots of changes leaning towards using all internal systems.
