Pros

Paid travel, Flexibility, Meet great people, paid training

Cons

Travel pay is under national average; you're not provided on the job training before having your own clients. Some of the supervisors provide absolutely no help when you come to them with questions

Pros

Compass Central does an incredible job at focusing on the clinician or staff member and helping them reach their growth potential. This could be either professionally (a new career path, adding something great to Compass itself) or personally (maybe something that gets in the way of being an effective staff). It’s intense, but so awesome to be supported in growth. Also, if there’s an avenue you want to explore, this is the place to do it! Training: If you feel like you don’t know something, your supervisors can help you find a training to help support your clients. Since the work is heavy with ABA and family training, any problem you have can be helped by the supervisors. Support: Clinicians all have a supervisor who oversees their case and helps out with the growth aspect. This is an amazing relationship. The supervisors in my office are smart, helpful, and organized. Our group is fun and close knit. Compass Central also knows the importance of treating staff nicely by getting lunches for every training and also having fun company parties. Time off: All supervisors are understanding about time off and help support you if you want to take vacations. You can also earn PTO once you qualify for benefits!

Cons

Clients: Some of the clients and their families can be difficult to work with and this can cause some stress and job burnout. Hours: Almost all the clients are worked with after school, so the work is typically 2-7. Also, it can be a little confusing to understand the full time set up since it’s based on hourly pay. Finally, sometimes (rarely) you may not get the hours you want if clients cancel on you. Drive time: Some clients can be really far away from your house, so you could be driving a lot.

Great Company

Pros

Great supervision and training, flexible schedules, ability to control your caseload, food at longer supervisions and trainings, family-friendly company gatherings, bonuses for new-employee referrals, use of iPads for clinical documentation

Cons

Not always aware of training room schedule (would have to leave in the middle of creating resources for clients because this was where laminating machines and other supplies were kept)
