You will not find good training or support here.

Pros

The healthcare team goes above and beyond for their patients.

Cons

They rush you through training because they need bodies in the field. The Labor Tool is never adhered to, in part because they cannot keep good staff. The LT states that FT nurses working 40H a week should have a roster of 11-13 patients with 22-25 visits a week. During my employment there Nursing staff have been forced to manage up to 30 patients. Every nurse and almost every aide works 50-70H a week. If you put in for the OT, you get nasty emails or rude phone calls and basically forced to "prove" your hours (which are time documented) and harassed so much that many of the staff stop putting in the time, but keep doing the work because they are so dedicated to their patients. Also d/t how they run staff into the ground, they cannot keep On Call staff and so Case Managers are expected to pick up the slack. During my time there, I calculated that I worked 54% of my time covering On Call. There was a period of about 5 months that Nursing had to work their 40H, cover On Call one night a week and also rotate one weekend a month to cover. There is NO work/life balance. The only care and support staff get is from each other.

Pros

Some co-workers are actually good people and do care. The pay is good ($25/hour)

Cons

Micromanagement seems to be a huge thing at Compassus. I also experienced multiple incidents of aggressive/hostile behavior from "colleagues," - peer and higher-ranked individuals. While on the surface, you're told to set boundaries and say when you have too much on your plate. But underneath that, it is very much a dictatorship, and you're supposed to do what you are told and never question it (unless you want to lose your job). I truly believe management only cares about sales numbers, not patients, and certainly not employees. My advice, DO NOT work here. During my interview, I thought the culture of the company would live up to its name, but in reality, that couldn't be further from the truth!
