If you get an undesirable territory (one that happens to be heavily physician driven and ridiculously political, for instance), best of luck. The numbers they expect you to pull in on a monthly basis are often times unrealistic/unattainable. Sometimes there are good months, sometimes there are slower months. That's the way it goes in healthcare. Management and the bigwigs in Nashville don't care. Hit your numbers, or you're on your way out. They'll try telling you it's about patient care, helping families, etc... don't be fooled - it's ALL about the numbers. You will find this out during the frequent sales meetings, as the term "numbers" seems to be quite the common theme with this company. Base salary is solid, but don't plan on getting your monthly bonuses, unless you have a desirable territory with medical directors working with you.
