      Poor management from DCS up to Corporate. Corporate leaders do not care. Understaffed.

      Bad Example of Corporate Healthcare Management

      Pros

      The reason you working Hospice is to care for the patients and their families. Every single one of them is facing end of life issues. Helping them transition with dignity and compassion is the highest calling!

      Cons

      The corporate model places NO VALUE on employees! You're simply a cog in the corporate machine! You better be satisfied with your pay at hire, because you'll never get any raise beyond COLA. Corporate President was literally asked at a meeting "Why do you have to go to another employer to get a raise?" Also, Medicare rules are regularly side-stepped and violated to the point of illegality. You are literally put in the position of risking your job OR your license. There are better places to work in Hospice, choose one of them!

      Care for corporate pocket not for who i am

      Self scheduling, able to flex schedule

      Cons

      -poor work life balance -long hours -little to no assistance -sink or swim mentality -lowest wages in area Dcs never stays around. High turn over, hard to be taught how to do your job when your boss doesn't know how to do theirs. Quit throwing your new employees to the wolves.
