Pros

Some really smart, hardworking and underpaid legacy employees who are committed to keeping the lights turned on. A few great leaders on the solution side of the house. And the woman who runs Canada is one of the brightest lights in this company (not to mention one of two female executive leaders - no girl power here).

Cons

Let' start with the bullying management mentality that the former CEO fostered. He's gone, but his many followers unfortunately remain. The chief product and marketing officer - run, don't walk. He's had so many people quit in the last year that we've stopped counting. Treats people terribly plus never packaged a successful product in his career and has zero marketing knowledge. Some other points for you to ponder -- limited to zero raises, bonuses and growth opportunities. If you're completely hard up and struggling to pay the rent, take the job until you can find something worthy of you. If you thrive on self-promotion, snake tactics, and doing as little as possible, then this is the place for you. Full disclosure - they asked us to write fake reviews, this one isn't!

Continue with goals - but look a little further underneath

Pros

1) Office Depot 2) My new direct manager (love!) and executive leadership we align to 3) A real map of marching to the goals of our department 4) Starting to see the changes of executive leadership (expected after OD purchase) which will purge the ego-driven persona's and drive towards goal driven agenda's.

Cons

1) Slow, lack of raises is a morale killer for those who work hard and have grown up in the company. 2) Foolish to the fact that a 10% to your hardest workers is a better long-term investment than losing them, rehiring at a higher salary and having a 3-6 month ramp period to understand the intricacies of the CC world
