Pros

The work is not that hard. they offer some training and will pay for certifications. Really flexible on vacation and sick leave.

Cons

NO RAISES!!!! I worked there for 5 years and there was never any raises or any real recognition for the work you do. Job growth is virtually non existent. The company cuts costs and people with adds more work to the remaining and expect this to be performed with no real compensation. The company institutes productivity killing monitoring apps and procedures. example: the company already uses a very good ticketing system that can track work and cases but then they added another layer app that you have to start the clock and end the clock when performing work. All this under the guise of providing better statistics to clients. Really it is just a way to watch over your shoulder.

A Company in Disguised Chaotic Collapse

Pros

Training programs for advancement in knowledge and opportunities. If time was ever there to take advantage of these programs, many would benefit as well as the company.

Cons

Attitude that all employees are expendable. Lack of focus on growth of the individual through coaching. Total focus on bean counting and the bottom line through whatever means necessary. No transparency of where the company really plans on going. If you make it past 2 years, it is because of either complacency, willingness to be underpaid, or because you aren't a threat. Most don't make it a full year.

Thoughts on CompuCom...

Pros

My direct managers and colleagues are good to very good and do seem to care. Benefits are on par with most companies, including vaca, 401k, health (just ok). I support another client and do not support CompuCom directly. There are a number of new and tenured employees at CompuCom, which I think is good. Above avg level of corp communication. CC has some nice facilities to work in and embraces remote work as well. The culture is positive and rather modern. (CC is being acquired....google it)

Cons

Upper management is heavy (or so it seems based on the frequent announcements) and departmentalized. (This may shift with the acquisition) I think this impacts CompuCom's ability to compete nimbly and satisfy the needs of all clients. If you must lean towards a health plan HSA for employees then at least keep the annual cap realistic - we're not all VPs after all...
