      What a mess!!!!

      Pros

      If you want a stable job without innovation and want to be doing the same thing over and over everyday working on very old technology, this is the place for you.

      Cons

      Ideas come from top down and cannot be modified. Get rid of IBM Clearcase and Clearquest, what is wrong with you. Waterfall methodology practiced here ONLY. Compensation and Benefits are lame.

      Lots of opprotunity to work with different software groups and learn new skills. Usually free to work on whatever projects are most interesting within your group. If you take advantage of this opportunity, you can learn a lot and get a wide variety of experience.

      Cons

      Information not easily shared between departments. Hardware, software and test group typically operate as distinct units with minimal interaction. This often makes troubleshooting a frustrating experience, and encourages narrow domain knowledge.
