Pros

None There were no Pros

Cons

I had worked for Computacenter for 6 years. My home was in Westboro/Framingham. I was part of a rotation that serviced the Cambridge, MA site for at least 3 years. I worked 15 hour days when travel time/traffic on my commute was included. I was always re-imbursed for travel, mileage and parking when in Cambridge until one day I was called into meeting to be told I was laid off.... however, I was given the choice that if I were to work permanently in Cambridge without compensation for mileage, travel and parking that I could continue to work there. So I was laid off for approx 30 seconds and because I didn't have any options I took the job. I eventually found another job closer to home and had the last word. I didn't not give a 2 week notice. They didn't deserve one. I was screwed so many times from ComputaCenter my butt was sore. There was ABSOLUTLEY NO WORK LIFE BALANCE, it is ALL COMPUTACENTER, YOU DO NOT EXIST!

Pros

You can negotiate a good salary in the beginning, but after a year they work on getting rid of you.

Cons

SM3, SM2 and HR are all in the same bag. They work only with who they know and don't care of you are a hard worker. The company doesn't have a solid US presence. Upper managements is just a collective of other company rejects.

Pros

Nothing pro to list here. Computacenter is a terrible company that runs a business like a sweatshop operation and treats their employees poorly.

Cons

If you are an IT professional, with great technical skills that loves going above and beyond for your customers stay away from this company because they treat their top employees very poorly. If you are friends with the manager, that's another story. You can come in whenever you want or not come in at al.l You get to chill in the tech room all day and watch movies, youtube videos and or facetime with your friends while the ticket queues are all backed up and customers desperately need help. Unlimited nap time in the conference rooms or the cafeteria and if you are hungry just help yourself to lunch and never pay for it. ComputaCenter is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for as an IT Professional. Their payrates are not up to todays standard IT rates, health insurance is overpriced and they force you to use your vacation time when the customer has their Christmas Shutdown. They hire kids, that have no qualifications or knowledge about anything IT related to solve critical technical issues in a scientific environment that could cost the customer a lot of money if handled wrong. I worked late many times because of all the slackers and kids this company hires without properly getting compensated and/or never got a thank you. Yet when I said something to management all I get is grief. Hopefully the customer will wake up sooner then later and go with another vendor.
