Pros

CRA is a non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. Salary is moderate and the benefits package is very strong with excellent insurance and matching retirement contributions. The staff is mission oriented and leadership provides the flexibility and space necessary to get the job done.

Cons

Relatively flat organization with understandably little room for advancement given it's such a small organization.

Pros

The job I have is a good fit with my education training and professional interests. The Executive Director has a strong appreciate for work/life balance.

Cons

Given that this is a non-profit, raises are modest. Starting salary is also modest.

A fantastic place to work if you are a self-starter.

Pros

This was probably the best place I have worked. You get to work with some of the brightest minds in the world and further the cause of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). The workplace is like a family and people are very laid back and jovial. At the same time it's one of the hardest working teams I've known. The philosophy of management is great, as long as your work is not compromised, you are not a slave to any schedule.

Cons

You HAVE to be a self starter and be able to take initiative. You will not succeed here if you are one-dimensional in your outlook towards wok and need to work off a list.
