Pros

- Fast paced environment with a lot young smart, entrepreneurial, creative individuals who get things done in NO time; - Established, well-oiled processes within departments and throughout the company; - Salary, benefits, and bonuses are competitive (for Chicago region); multiple opportunities to volunteer (e.g., fundraising events, TutorMate program, etc.); - Great IT , HR and other support staff; great onboarding and training; - Supportive co-workers; - Centralized access to internal information (e.g., portal), where things are easily found; - Opportunity to work from home 1-2 days a week. However, it depends on the department and team leader; - Location (downtown Chicago, Willis Tower) - Free snacks :)

Cons

- High pressure environment, low work/life balance especially for employees with families; - Certain team leaders (managers/ directors) have VERY POOR people’s skills and no tolerance for mistakes; resulting in hostile, humiliating team environment; - High turnover - Purely utilitarian approach to employees from certain team leaders, with no room for mentoring; development and growth.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. We appreciate you highlighting why you think comScore is great and we especially appreciate the shout out to IT and HR! That said, providing better tools to develop management skills and help managers provide opportunities for their teams is also part of our function in HR, so we have work to do. This is a focus in 2018, and we will continue to build out those manager resources, and more importantly, to make sure people know where those resources are, how to implement them, and to ensure that once they have the tools, managers are using them. With the arrival of our new CEO, we’re establishing new corporate values that reflect some of your key points: specifically that leadership should be serving their teams and supporting their ability to win. We’ll be working hard to live this value.

Pros

Decent people, good location, interesting and varied work. Well stocked kitchen, good summer and Christmas parties.

Cons

From an International perspective (non-US) the company has jumped the shark, In a world many years ago when desktop figures were all that mattered it was a great place to work. In a multi device world developing International products has stalled, understandably since the Rentrak acquisition, as they try and be the first to say they have cracked incremental reach between TV and Digital within the US market. The company has really lost its way since the financial scandal of 2 years ago which caused us to be kicked off the NASDAQ. Since then, we've been through 3 CEO's, axed a ton of staff, and feels like we have completely lost our vision. Certain areas of management are utterly incompetent. Half the remaining staff are running for the door.
