Most positions moving overseas

Pros

If you're in Florham Park New Jersey, you might keep your job. Benefits are OK, compensation WAS fine but they are hiring 2-3 less qualified people in other countries for less money than one skilled position here.

Cons

Positions are being relocated to India and Mexico rapidly. If you work in most other places, your job will eventually go away. If you work remotely, it will happen even faster, per the company's announced policy or eliminating them. They even refer to it as the "India Model" although that term isn't published anywhere. They constantly promote their concern for employees, but employees in America are being replaced fairly quickly.

Pros

Good place to start for young people Good place to start for those who want to change "careers", no customer service experience Good place to start for those with no recent work experience Can choose benefits immediately upon hire

Cons

No paid holidays for 6 months Training sucks They expect new people to do the same amount of work as those that have been in the position for years Rarely make the $13/hr if your in correspondence unless you have been there for a long time and know most of the templates Correspondence will get switched to the phones while in the middle of a response and may have to compose it all over again Very little room for growth for the contract I was in Leads behaved as children and expected you to know certain things which they failed to advise you of Often times the Q&A people went by different guidelines than those performing the duties

Pros

The people I work with are fantastic. The people are the only reason I haven't left this joke of a company yet.

Cons

Poor communication with employees - they say they know benefits are bad and will be improved. All they did was offer 2 additional medical plans that are priced so expensively that you would have to be an idiot to choose them. That's what this company thinks of its employees - that they are idiots. Each plan is about 2% different in actuarial value yet they are priced over 50% more expensive than the existing plan. No raises - I have now gone 3 years without a raise and I am probably one of the lucky ones. Even as people take on significantly more responsibility there is no raise in pay. The whole executive team is out of touch with the employee base. Jeff Friedel is a real piece of garbage. The only thing this company cares about is the stock price. Severance policy was changed recently from 1 week per year of service up to 26 weeks to 1 week per year of service up to a maximum of 8 weeks. Immediately following that change massive layoffs occurred. The policy was changed again to a maximum of 4 weeks. Followed by another round of layoffs. Executive severance is 26 weeks period. Just another way the executive team is out of touch.
