Pros

Amazing community and camaraderie when in the field. Awesome work environments. Pre covid was a job of your dreams.

Cons

During covid the new schedule is too demanding, ignores doctors orders on workers compensation cases, claims you now work 10 days on with 4 day’s off but most likely you’ll get a day off in between 10 days on pushing people to their limit and claim it is for the safety of the people working there. The culture is very toxic between those in office and those in field, the admin staff acts like they have seen and done it all harder and more than those they claim to lead and creates a culture where those in the field don’t trust those above them. Concerns are easily bushed aside for partner satisfaction and money isn’t put back into the company’s exhausting infrastructure and focuses more on expansion. Overall a dangerous place to work, they claim safety is a high priority but will never give you the time you need to rest with such inconsistent and inconsiderate scheduling for those in the field. They want to become the new standard in conservation but if they do the conservation field will be worse for it. Also on topic of pay, $685/week looks good but when you realize you’re at work 24/7 with maybe 3 days off a month if you’re lucky you make less than minimum wage.

Pros

Flexible schedule PTO Great program for hands-on experience

Cons

Pay is low, but like to pay consultants. Communication, and ability from management, and the board, to implement changes is inconsistent, at best
