Pros

There is value in quality engineering and that is a focus at least in the water group. Internal initiatives to bring specs and standards up to modern standards will be an incredible tool for building excellent young engineers.

Cons

Constant change around ownership is stressor that distracts from the day-to-day. too much focus on categories can hamper growth.

Pros

Paid on time, plenty parking, Plenty coffee, glass windows for natural light.

Cons

Poor management leads to excessive overtime, yet employees are prohibited from accurately reporting their hours, raising serious ethical concerns. Discussions about time off and actual hours worked are discouraged, making burnout inevitable. Late-night work sessions, sometimes as late as 2 a.m for a few workers, then you have to get up and go to work for 8am the next day became a routine occurrence. Time off is not granted, and employee concerns are consistently ignored rather than addressed. Chronic understaffing results in overwhelming workloads, while bonuses lack fairness and transparency.

Pros

Work from home two days a week.

Cons

The Austin TX structures manager has fired five people in the last three years, and three others have chosen to leave on their own to other companies. Lack of good management has lead to heavy turnover, which has led to low moral and stunted personal growth at this job. You are lucky if you get even 10 minutes of facetime with the manager a day, as he spends most of the day in his office. Often you can go the whole day without him talking to you.
