Pros

Good benefits, medical, dental and vision. Market competitive salary. Corporate advancement opportunities. Flexible scheduling allows for a good work life balance.

Cons

Management does not listen to employees concerns or suggestions. In the division I was in, US automakers were at best fourth on the priority list behind the German 3. Mis-directed responsibilities across departments.

Pros

I joined as a GET freshman and I was given a wonderful training for 2 months in major domains of the company including development, product management, Industrial engineering etc. My post-training job consisted of working for multiple automotive clients and as a result I got exposure in various platforms.

Cons

Most of the work is on the existing product line and technologies. Innovation is limited unless a particular department takes up a completely new product to develop, which is kind of rare.

Pros

Trying to be a progressive new age company while really is an old school manufacturing company.

Cons

Too many layers of management, too much bureaucracy, very out dated systems, and thousands of very confusing processes, ensuring busy work, non value added work and losing track of a salesman's true job. Truly an old school manufacturing mindset.
