Pros

The free training program is the main bonus for this company along with job placement afterwards

Cons

Longevity with this company is rare. For those whom it works for it eventually works great, but be prepared in exchange for the free training to be underpaid compared to your software peers for the first year or two. Its still worth it.

Thanks for your review and for shining a light on our FastTrack Developer program's key benefits, such as the free training and job placement. It's great to see these valued by our team. Regarding your points on compensation and longevity, we aim to keep FastTrack graduates within the Cook Systems team for as long as we can. While economic shifts and client needs can impact this, our commitment to our employees' long-term employment remains strong. We're always looking at our compensation packages to ensure they are competitive and reflect our investment in our team's growth. Your suggestion for a safety net is well-received; we're exploring ways to bolster our support for all team members, especially during challenging times. Appreciate your feedback. It helps us focus on what matters most to our team and how we can continue making Cook Systems a great place to grow a tech career.

Pros

Great training program that helped bridge gaps between conceptual knowledge learned earning my degree and real world skills applying that knowledge utilizing libraries and frameworks we didn't use at university.

Cons

Would be nice to have more continuing education after the FT program. Cook is still a small company that is undergoing growth so there will be bumps along way and they are planning to add an FT graduate program. However, everyone is friendly and they want to work with you to ensure you're on track with your career goals.

Thanks so much for leaving a stellar review and for highlighting what you've appreciated about our FastTrack Graduate program. It's fantastic to hear that the program has been a bridge for you, connecting the dots between academic concepts and the practical skills needed in our field. We're also glad you're feeling the positive vibes from our team; that camaraderie is something we're really proud of. Regarding your suggestion for more continuing education opportunities beyond the FastTrack program, that's a great point. We're always looking for ways to support our team's development and keep everyone growing, both personally and professionally. While we're in the process of evaluating how we can expand our educational offerings, your feedback is a crucial part of that conversation. It helps us understand where to focus our efforts to meet the needs of our team as we evolve. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and for your commitment to our collective success. Your insights are invaluable as we strive to make Cook Systems not just a great place to start your career but also a place where you can continue to grow and thrive.
