Good People, Poor Longterm Career

Pros

Very kind people, were willing to work with you and train you. Salary raises were good the first year at the 90 day, 6 month and 9 month reviews. Free or discounted meats were very nice.

Cons

The 401k match was advertised as up to 4% but fluctuated and was dialed down to 0.4% match when the product markets were poor. I wasn't there long enough to see consecutive yearly raises but my coworkers told me it was essentially a cost of living increase of 3% and the raise in company provided health insurance costs normally ate up most your raise. Gainsharing is a hiring point but nonexistent.
