Decent work environment, could pay more
Pros
Lots of overtime, decent off shifts differential pay. Accrue PTO and benefits from day one Lots of departments to move around in and learn. Management recognizes hard workers. New AMP department building running dryers will be climate controlled. Job is actually really easy and fun to learn.
Cons
No AC in my current department, that has Dryer inside shop. Summer time hits 115 degrees in dryer room. Could pay better, Im 2 years in and I am to train new hires making $4/hr more than me. Team leads in my department are lazy and quite useless. Asked for more money due to gaining more responsibility, HR nearly p**ped their pants. They can not seem to retain their talent and honest hard workers..maybe pay them more when they ask for it. Im doing the job of a working team lead and an operator without the corresponding pay.
