Pros

recession proof company fun co workers possibility for travel

Cons

This company will chew you up and spit you out. Just don't waste your time. They prey on recent grads and low income population to work at their facilities with minimum wage, untrained managers, angry customers, little to know training for the staff, no guarantee of yearly raises, low morale, money hungry upper management and poor working conditions. You will have no boundaries with your personal like (ZERO work life balance) and you will get no support from other managers or corporate. You will have to figure everything out your self.

Pros

The pay is pretty good.

Cons

They don't care about their employees. They like to preach about being a family, but then they have no problem firing people left and right. They did a mass layoff right when COVID happened. Then they realized they messed up after also closing 2 of their title Procurement branches and have started hiring again. They make changes constantly and screw employees everytime with no cares. They treat their beloved CAT team like angels. Everyone else is dispensable. They work their employees 6 days a week and usually between 60-70 hours...The company is money hungry and conniving. I used to think they were great, but that's how they fool you. Every employee who loved this place and would happily put their time and heart into their job was worn down so much they have either quit or got fired anyways because that's what Copart does.

Pros

buyers are friendly, benefits are good and overtime.

Cons

office staff excluding a few are very dramatic. They thrive on drama. Don't think about taking it to managements attention. Management will pretend to care, hold a meeting and then brush it under the rug. The same people who talk behind the managers back is the same people management has on a pedestal. They need better organization when it comes to training. You will train in an area for a day or two and that's it. Then In a month or two they want you to train again expecting you to remember what you learned a month ago. Certain managers were also very inappropriate with employees. The few employees who bust their butts are the few who are treated like crap and make the least amount of money. If you want to feel like you never left high school then go ahead and apply. If you want a company that everyone is treated equally and with respect then steer clear.
