Pros

The people you meet from all over the country. I have met some really great people and made some really good friends.

Cons

Your a number not a name to management. They do not care about their employees especially when race is involved. And DO NOT ever accept a Christmas gift card from even a subhauler who is a representative of Copart, even when your GM spends Copart money to bribe drivers for same day pickups to make himself look good.

Thanks for your post. Contrary to your statement, we make great effort to make sure our employees are treated like people NOT numbers, and we are proud of the teams we have in our facilities. We have set high expectations and standards for our employees when it comes to ethics and acceptable business practices and admittedly have strict rules over the acceptance of gifts and tips. We have grown rapidly over the past many years thanks, in part, to the diversity of our workers--not in spite of it. Overall, our high expectations have created an unmatched auction experience for our buyers and sellers and our growth has provided our high-performing employees with great career opportunities and options. Pros

Working hours. Starting wage rate. Opportunities to get new knowledge everyday. Management does great at the Gainesville Office. They very kind and supportive. Co-workers are great people to work with and very supportive also. Great benefits.

Cons

For me, I did not find any cons until now, except for the raise policy does not give you much opportunity to increase your income unless getting a promotion.

Thanks for taking time to post! I noticed your comment about our raise policy and the fact that in many cases the path to bigger raises is through promotion. We do in fact look to our existing employees to fill bigger roles and want to be a place known for the careers we offer, not just the jobs. I strongly encourage you to step up for roles you find interesting and to take advantage of benefits such as our tuition reimbursement program to continue acquiring skills that will help you grow professionally. Many of our Managers and Senior Leadership Team began their careers in entry-level operations roles. For those who make the effort there are great opportunities available. If you want to talk more about career opportunities at Copart, please give your Regional HR Manager or me a call. Regards, Rory Seidens Vice President, Human Resources (972) 391-5185

Pros

The CEO is a very nice man, but he doesn't know how shady his employees are.

Cons

I am pregnant, in order to save mine and my child's life I have had to have 2 EMERGENCY surgeries. While I was working at copart is when these surgeries occurred, I had doctors notes and kept in contact with my boss daily to keep him updated on my return. Let me reinstate, I could have died or my baby Could have died if I didn't not get these surgeries. The day of my return from my second surgery, I was fired. At 4 months pregnant, had just been through hell, and I was fired. I then applied for unemployment and was approved since the state found that copart did not have a good reason to fire me, in total they would end up paying me around 5000 in unemployment, but instead of wanting to cough up the measly 5000 out of thier fat wallets, they are appealing my unemployment with the state. me and my husband and son are now having to move because we can't afford our house, no one will hire me because I'm pregnant, we are constantly worried about putting food on the table, copart has destroyed a family and they can't even pay me unemployment for a few months? Thanks copart for making this pregnancy even harder than it has been.
