Pros

Busy work, Answering In bound and making outbound calls. General Office

Cons

No growth opportunity. Management seems to not have enough to do, while the employees bust their hump.

Pros

Decent pay Good retirement benefits Normal office hours

Cons

Working for Copart was like being in high school all over again. Anyone willing to "do the dance" and say the right things were pushed ahead even though they weren't qualified to do so. Vacation time? Forget about it. More like being made to feel like you can't take a vacation. There is no structure. Big deal business processes seem to change on a weekly basis. What worked before doesn't work now. Oh wait, yes it did. Let's change it back again. What a frustrating company with horrible management. The best thing that ever happened to me was leaving and finding a healthy work environment after working in such a classless, disrespectful and juvenile place.

Pros

Competitive base salary, no bonus, ok benefits but not a large company so loss of numbers for health insurance premiums. Unless starting at the opportune time, there is a up to a year wait for 401K and 6 months for ESPP.

Cons

Management has no clue about employees or their work and satisfaction. Some new VP level management, talked to vendors about how Copart is making cash hand over fist (in more derogatory terms that Glassdoor does not allow). How unprofessional to talk to top notch vendors, especially if you are trying to get the best discount. Personal opinion says that some of the VP and above management are above their ability. A VP should not be looking at configurations, should have confidence in the employees doing the work.

Thanks for your post--I wanted to point out that, as an organization, we DO listen to our employees and have just completed an Employee Survey in which employees were asked to voice their opinions about working for Copart as well as asked to provide input into what areas they felt we did well and what areas needed the most attention. The data from the survey will soon be shared with ALL employees and we will be looking to our employees at all levels of the organization to help improve the workplace.
