Pros

Management cares! My managers all seem to be compassionate and understanding. Management supports their employees and the coworkers are great!

Cons

Depending on the department you work for, the pro I listed may vary. Upper management are looking for profit! They are removing benefits for longer term employees like vacation time and are not keeping up with inflation on pay. People were recently laid off and then their jobs were reposted. I don’t trust corporate level management. I assume if you are onboarded as a new employee you get treated better and have better pay due to onboarding new employees. As a women I also feel they treat men better and they treat their local friends better. Being a small town, a lot of employees know each other and stick with promoting friends and family.

Must be part of inner circle

Pros

It is a job for pay

Cons

Unless you are part of the inner circle, don’t expect to be recognized or promoted. The executives and much of middle management/salary think they are better than all employees and won’t even shake your hand if they feel you are not worthy. Even most of the admins are stuck up.
