It is a job for pay

Cons

Unless you are part of the inner circle, don’t expect to be recognized or promoted. The executives and much of middle management/salary think they are better than all employees and won’t even shake your hand if they feel you are not worthy. Even most of the admins are stuck up.

Pros

- The people working at the business unit levels are great even if a bit trauma bonded - Corporate has a couple of gems in the C-Suite even if surrounded by blind loyalists holding on to not get cut before the IPO payout

Cons

- Below industry pay at all levels for the size of business - Silent layoffs and restructures at least 1-2 times per year - People are stressed, and employee engagement scores are abysmal, even in groups with good leaders, because no one sees a career path or rewards and hasn't for years.

Old company politics play in a role in work, mistreatment of employees and no repercussions, a lack of basic respect and professionalism from certain managers has created a challenging environment. Always downsizing/rearranging of departments and changing roles/jobs. Files are a mess.
