Most of the students are great.
Cons
It can be very difficult to work in a department/school that has only one way of doing something. A common phrase is "be creative *in* the box." There is no one size fits all pedagogy. Yet, administrators forget this. To keep up with the workload (a workload that is increasing), one must work hours and hours, forgoing any other part of life. The "we are family" mantra gets tiresome especially when some departments/grade levels have significant turnover each year.
