Pros

Management is pretty clueless, so its easy to get away with a lot of stuff.

Cons

Management wants you to figure out solutions to problems. When you try various solutions and they don't work, you ask for direction, you get someone saying louder you need to fix it. Lot of long term employees there doing nothing and they are afraid to terminate them.

Pros

Once you learn your route and the procedures, you can get your work done early and enjoy your day! It's hard physical work, but gets easier as your body adjust. Recommended for young men and women only! Just make your number one rule this: if i hurt myself, it's my own fault because I put money in front of health. Pace yourself!

Cons

Windows. They expect you to never be early and never ever be late. Core Mark uses People Net electronic log system so no cheating right? Nope, fake computer problem and whip out the paper log. They would never tell you that but you Will complete the run. Equipment such as the latters, steps and other materials handling equipment, are worn out junk. You do a lot of climbing and hauling down milk crates.

Pros

uniforms are supplied, if never the correct size. Fuel cards make it easy to fuel the trucks. Freightliner trucks, both single and double axel. Pay, less than Fort Worth norm but higher than most Abilene delivery driver positions.

Cons

Very slow 63 mph trucks. Maintience only an issue if freight delayed. Dangerous trailers and connection gear. No Overtime paid to Shuttle Drivers. 50 to 60 hr work week. Management has high turnover and has no ethics at all. They closed the Abilene division almost without warning sending 10 people to the unemployment line. Forced to re-open one shuttle position and two routes due to pressure from upset store owners. Very dissatisfied store managers, not with the route drivers, but with warehouse messed up orders. Constant threats to dump core mark.
