Pros

great resources, generous funding, expansive possibilities, the work hours were minimal and the compensation was generous, the campus facilities are top notch (in most departments)

Cons

living in Ithaca is tough, it's a very small town, with zero culture, so you'd better put your head down, work, and love what you're doing

Great institution, great treatment

Pros

I've only worked as a student worker, but the institution is very benevolent and caring about its employees, from what I've seen in my research. The ILR School's pressure I think makes a significant impact.

Cons

Like any large institution, especially one with many interests other than profit, the bureaucracy is huge and hard to break through. It takes patience to get through it all and get things done.

Pros

Beautiful campus, friendly and versatile culture for international students. Reputational academic institute.

Cons

Winter is very long, and it's very depressing. On-campus parking is extremely expensive.
