      Pros

      Very flexible hours in general, fun, not required to do too much if classes take lots of time, food given during grading sessions

      Cons

      Sometimes lots more work than desired, requires late night grading sessions that can run for several hours, often dragged into staying in office hours over time without pay

      Pros

      The atmosphere of the graduate school and my department is very relaxed, which allows you to focus on getting research and other responsibilities done. Bureaucracy doesn't seem too bad.

      Cons

      Well, you're in the middle of nowhere. If you're used to a real city, this can get annoying, especially if you plan on spending six years here. Sure, there's good bus service to NYC, but that's only good for a short vacation every now and then, at best.
