Pros
They have decent benefits; some of the people in authority are tolerable; and if you are desperate for work, it's a pay check.
Cons
Leadership is out of touch with the employees who are key to the relationships between Corning and the customers. Customer Service is the most over-worked, under-paid positions in this company; and all the while leadership continues to say in a yearly message "you (customer service reps) are the face/voice of Corning, and we know the importance of that". This is a lot of hot air and smoke blowing that no one believes, yet they continue to fail to realize the importance of this group. Instead of wasting everyone's time, and the company's money, on the iKaizen program for the corporate location, they should invest in the people.
