Pros

There are many divisions to find your niche. Corning values research, design, and engineering. There are a fair amount of opportunities to advance if you choose the right starting point. If you are in the right business unit, the salary is competitive and good work is recognized in bonuses.

Cons

The environment can be sterile and stuffy. While there are areas if advancement, many are blocked by Corning lifers. If you are in a business that is not constantly growing, in the stock market, then you're made to feel like you've let the entire company down.
