Pros

Technology company. Corning is an innovation company and is a leader in glass. Small town company with great people. People are friendly; not much ambitious though.

Cons

Location. Corning is a small town and you have to find ways to make life interesting in this small town. Also, at work, depending on which division you belong to, there is too much bureacracy and hierachy.

Pros

Good work-life balance. Salary is ok. Workload is ok.

Cons

Too political. US based management put their eyes on Ivy league graduate and/or undergraduate. Besides, they put high so much weight on China-nationality management in the local executive in the greater China region. Rare opportunity to get promotion even though some opportunities in different functional or business unit.

Pros

They provide good training and treat their employees very well. The company understands and values the work life balance. The pay was above average compared to other internship positions.

Cons

The location of the facility was far from the city.
